Founded in 1993, Airsys Engineering is a locally owned engineering firm and HVAC supplier based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Initially operated by its original partners, the company transitioned to new ownership in 2019, continuing its legacy of excellence and innovation in the HVAC industry. As a longstanding member of ASHRAE, Airsys remains committed to upholding the highest standards of engineering practice.
Through the challenges of the COVID-19 era, Airsys has demonstrated resilience and growth by working collaboratively with local mechanical contractors and engineers to support bid/spec design services and provide high-quality HVAC equipment. In line with our continued expansion, on July 1, 2022, Airsys Engineering merged with Rae Mac Agencies, based in Moncton, New Brunswick. Although both companies retain their individual names, the merger allows us to offer enhanced service and an expanded range of stock products, leveraging the combined resources of our Dartmouth and Moncton warehouses.
Together, Airsys Engineering and Rae Mac Agencies provide comprehensive bid/spec HVAC equipment sales and wholesale services across the Maritime provinces, ensuring a broader reach and more efficient service for our valued clients.

Phillip Duncan is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years of experience in engineering and construction management. As President of both Airsys Engineering and Rae Mac Agencies, he has successfully driven growth and innovation within the organizations, establishing a reputation for excellence and strategic foresight.
Phillip earned his MBA from the University of Liverpool, UK with a focus in Finance, where he honed his skills in business strategy and operations management. His educational background, combined with hands-on experience in the engineering and construction sector, allows him to navigate complex challenges while fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity.
Under Phillip’s leadership, Airsys Engineering has become a leader in delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions, while Rae Mac Agencies has expanded its reach and enhanced its service offerings. His commitment to sustainability and technology integration has positioned both companies at the forefront of their industries.
Phillip is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders and actively participates in community initiatives. Outside of work, he enjoys biking, reading, and exploring new technologies that drive industry advancements.
